Our course teaches you much more than just the technics. You will gain a broader view on how people experience sound and music. What type of experience matches best with a certain artistic vision, and how can this be technically designed? For this purpose, you learn to work with all sorts of technology, applying and combining it creatively. And if a technical solution is missing, you design it yourself.
You learn all this by trying out and experimenting in projects. And while you are actively creating, you also get to learn the theory. We constantly challenge you to broaden your perspective. We teach you how to work with a reverb plug-in, along with the underlying principles, enabling you to work with various setups and develop your own custom setups. We also let you work with various musical genres and cultures, allowing you to make more informed choices.
Naturally, you don’t have to understand all the technology inside-out at the start of your studies. More important is that you are willing to try out new things and dare to challenge your own conceptions about how sound is designed and experienced. Whether you end up as a recording technician, systems designer or sound artist, doesn't really matter to us. What we do care about, is that you develop a broad enough perspective to make your own well-informed decisions and are able to build a lasting and diverse career.
