Welcome to the Master Interior Architecture
As an interior architect, you build on spaces that ‘have an effect’. This two-year Master of Interior Architecture (HKU MIA) course trains you to be an interior architect. You learn how to work in a creative, communicative and investigative way and you find your own position in the professional field. You succeed in involving users in design processes and you develop research methods for including the experience of spaces in the result.These three themes are key to HKU MIA:

When is the Master Interior Architecture right for you?
This course is certainly right for you if you:- Have a Bachelor’s degree in spatial design or design, have taken a course specialising in architecture at a higher professional education institute or technical university, or have taken another design course
- Want to develop your own vision of spatial issues and to integrate that vision in design processes
- Want to develop your creative way of working and broaden your area of work
- Are interested in what is happening in society and are looking for challenges in making a meaningful contribution as a spatial designer
