In Do We Care?, HKU students and affiliates set off on a search for the meaning of the word care. Across three themes – taking care, bodily care and healthcare – there are various stories that question our caring society, while showing how new creators come up with new images and creations. These creators hold up a mirror to us of our current time, through film, fashion, art installations, textiles, performances and sculptures and ask us: Do We Care?
The public programme around the expo has various participating artists, speakers and experts exploring each of the three themes more deeply.
Do We Care? is the third collaborative expo presented by Museum de Fundatie and HKU. Earlier partnership projects were ‘Who Owns the World? (2021) and Nature Talks (2022)

What do we mean when we say ‘we care’? HKU students, alumni and teachers explore this question in their expo from 24 June to 8 October at Museum de Fundatie, location Nijenhuis Castle in Heino-Wijhe. The expo, named Do We Care?, shows how artists can make an impact on people and society through their work.
