HKU and Museum de Fundatie

Collaborative expositions offer students and alumni the opportunity to show their work to a larger audience.
Museum de Fundatie and HKU are creating collaborative exhibitions since 2020. HKU students and alumni are given the opportunity to show their work to a larger audience in exhibitions that address social themes.

Exhibitions

Lecturers, alumni and students of HKU work together with Museum de Fundatie on exhibitions and educational activities. Students and lecturers visit the exhibitions as part of their educational programmes and attend meetings, masterclasses and seminars. The museum offers its space, knowledge and experiences to the arts education.

Projects

Nature Talks – Art and design that is not focused on humankind
16 April 2022 – 21 August 2022

Nature Talks is the second exhibition that results from the partnership between Museum de Fundatie and HKU. Fifteen alumni enter a collaboration with nature and show different ways of treating the world. With their work, they offer a new perspective on our society.

Van wie is de wereld?
23 April 2021 - 22 August 2021

In the exhibition ‘Who Owns The World?’, or Van wie is de wereld? (Dutch website), 29 alumni and lecturers of HKU take a stand. They showed how art and activism are mutually related. From their own points of view, the creators responded to hot contemporary issues such as climate, gender, racism and identity. The work stirs up discussion, by begging the question: what is your place in the world?

Abour Museum de Fundatie

Museum de Fundatie (Dutch website) connects art, creators and audiences, serving as a stage for ideas, innovation and beauty. The museum offers opportunities to new talents with the Future Factory, the laboratory of Museum de Fundatie.
