Studying with an emotional support animal

Meet Ilze and her support dog Annie! Ilze van Veelen studied at HKU, but couldn't have done so without the help of her emotional support dog. ‘Annie lowers the obstacles for me, ensures that I can leave my house independently to go and do everything I want to. She offers me safety, and HKU has helped by informing everyone why Annie was walking around here.’
