If you want to do sports, there are plenty of opportunities in Utrecht. There are many facilities and associations for students.

Olympos

HKU works with the Olympos Sports Centre. HKU students get a discount on the OlymPas, Olympos' all-in sports card, which allows you to participate in a lot of different sports.

OlymPas, the all-in sports card

The OlymPas gives you flexible and almost unlimited access to:

  • more than 80 groups lessons per week
  • a wide range of courses
  • unlimited gym facilities at two sites
  • free tennis, squash, beach volleyball and climbing
  • introductory weight training lesson
  • introductory lesson in climbing on the Kalymnos outdoor climbing wall (> 30 metres)
  • Olympos football competitions
  • Olympos tennis and squash ladder competition
  • membership of one of the many student sports associations (you pay a supplementary contribution to the association)

In addition to many social associations, Utrecht also has a lot of student sports associations for rowing, tennis, skating and rugby, for example.
