Entrance Examination

An entrance examination is required for all courses at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. Students who apply on time will receive an invitation for the entrance examination. Late applications can only be placed in an admission in case of availability.

Within 5 days HKU will send you a confirmation of your application. In this message you can find more information about the admission procedure for the course of your choice.

You can only join in the admission of a course once per year.

Visa and residence permit

If you have a non-EEA nationality you can only be enrolled if you maintain legal residence in The Netherlands for the duration of your study. You don't have a residence permit yet? Apply for a permit on time! For more information, visit our visa & permit page.

Functional disability?

HKU can offer special facilities for students with a functional disability such as dyslexia, ADHD, chronic illness or other physical limitations. If this applies to you please contact one of the student counsellors via HKU Service Desk Student Affairs (sz@hku.nl).

Finances, housing and more

As a foreign student it is important that you arrange your finances carefully. Besides payment of tuition fees, students needing visa and resident permit will need to offer proof of finances.
