During the expo’s opening this Wednesday, the work of HKU alumni Nikki Steenbergen and Angelina Kumar drew lots of attention. Angelina Kumar’ Peukenbos (‘forest of cigarette stubs’) creates awareness about the hidden environmental impact of carelessly throwing away cigarette stubs.

The exhibition was opened by Utrecht councillor Senna Maatoug. Max Merkx was present on behalf of the HKU Executive Board.
