HKU x NFF
The national stage that NFF offers for these creators, is a testimony to the ambition of HKU’s film and animation courses: ‘Our film and animation makers are in the centre of society’, says Mir Wermuth, director of HKU Media. ‘We teach them to show stories that either reflect the world of the present, past and future, of sharply criticize it. The film makers at HKU know how to create their own conditions and excel in teamwork. Lastly, they find their way to their own audience and understand their starting position in the field. Therefore, they organise HKU Blikvangers all by themselves.’In the coming years, the NFF is intensifying their cooperation with the community of creators at HKU. Incorporating HKU Blikvangers in the NFF programme is a first step in this direction.
