Edwin Jacobs accepts new position and leaves HKU
Edwin Jacobs: “My time at HKU has been special. In a nurturing and warm management partnership with Heleen Jumelet, we have achieved beautiful results in terms of both contents and organisation. The first that springs to mind is the new HKU Long-Term Strategy 2030. Together we have worked on positioning the higher education in the arts and making it future-proof. Summarising, I can only say that my time at HKU has been a generous one, for which I will always remain grateful.”

Heleen Jumelet: “Edwin was a pleasant colleague who has been of great value for the strategy of HKU. A strategy that is not about choosing between opposite directions but about exploring the spaces between them. About synergy and coherence. Edwin has helped bring ‘the old masters and new makers’ together, always for the good of the arts! HKU as a whole, and I personally, are going to miss him. His path will now lead to KABK, and we wish him the best of luck with his new position.”

Edwin Jacobs will be working for HKU until 1 June. The Supervisory Board congratulates Edwin with his new job and will shortly start looking for a new member of the HKU Executive Board.
