Sonic City

The city can be adventurous, seductive and captivating until you get lost in it, but it is also a place where you can meet and connect. The city can be seen as an entity with a complex inner world.
The exhibition Sonic City depicts a relationship of the city and its sound in ten works that combine image and audio. The starting point for the work created during this annual educational project is often personal and narrative in nature. From different perspectives, ten third- and fourth-year HKU students illuminate aspects that, to them, characterize the city. Human presence plays an important role in this, but also the visualization of elements in the city and urban life which are sometimes inconspicuous.
