The works of HKU students and alumni are on display from 10 January to 2 February during I Light U, the light art exhibition of national and international light artists in and around Utrecht Central Station. The theme of this year’s expo is ALIVE.

On display are the works of students from Image & Media Technology (IMT) and Music and Technology, plus the graduation works of six alumni on the baseboards of the buildings along the route: Eline Flick with Insecta Esthetica, Lucas Dijkman, Frank Doornbos and Cas Aerts with their light installations, and Maher Almalek and Mellis van Duijnhoven with Hidden Stories.

Last year, students from Image and Media Technology – HKU Media created several short videos for I Light U, among which Tom Benschop’s Just another Tuesday: a visualisation of the overstimulation that a citizen in a metropolis might feel.
