EP presentation: In My Backyard

Inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, Andrew Bird and Patrick Watson, Lizet writes and performs songs about the past and being a dreamer in today’s high-speed world. Lizet Aviva’s music is like water: it sweeps you into a rippling current, and pulls you down to the bottom like a vortex. On her EP In My Backyard, she uses her warm vocals, folky guitar play and poetic lyrics to take you to various emotional stages. Lizet has long been fascinated by stories, which she incorporates in her music. After having performed in TivoliVredenburg, Lizet Aviva will be in Cinetol on 2 November to present her released EP.

With her unconditional love for nature, where everything grows and is constantly in motion, the indie folk of Levi Boon takes you on a walk through time. She writes about desire and the discovery of paths unwalked, with songs in the tradition of songwriters such as Feist and Adrianne Lenker.
