How to get to location Mariaplaats

By foot

Location Mariaplaats is within roughly 10 minutes' walking distance of Utrecht Centraal Station.
The big yellow building on the corner is the Arts & Sciences Building. The main building is to its left.

Bicylcle

Mariaplaats is also easy accessible by bicycle.

Parking

It is extremely difficult to park in the centre of Utrecht. We therefore advise you to use public transport. If you come by car regardless, then the Springweg Car Park is nearby. If you would rather park free of charge, then check the website www.parkerenindestad.nl.

Funfacts

In the main building of the Utrecht Conservatory you will find De Kapel. This is the neo-gothic chapel of the former men's hospital St. Joannes de Deo. The chapel has impressive stained glass windows by Heinrich Geuer and an original tiled floor.

HKU Utrechts Conservatorium uses De Kapel for acoustic concerts and lectures.

  • This is one of HKU's schools. It is a large and multi-faceted conservatory, with a valued place in the European conservatory world. Our aim is to ensure that you develop into a professional musician with your own viewpoint. Your personal development is the focal point.

  • Also part of HKU Utrechts Conservatorium is the Netherlands Carillon School. You can find this exceptional study at a separate location in Amersfoort.

    HKU Utrechts Conservatorium is one of the few place in the world to offer a complete conservatory training for carilloneurs and bell players. The Netherlands Carillon School is therefore one of the few establishments to teach the profession of carilloneur to the highest level: Master of Music.
