Visual artists, scientists and theatre producers together explored questions such as: ‘Why are so many people struggling with burnout symptoms? How are stimuli actually processed by our brain and body?” And: “What can we learn about this from neurodiverse people with, for example, autism and ADHD?” The results of their exploration can now be seen in the sensory exhibition PRIKKEL, revealed in artworks, video and lighting installations and an interactive lab. An expo that plays with your perceptions and caters to all your various senses.
Two HKU affiliates are contributing to the Expo: Silvana Hurtado graduated in 2020 as Fine Art student. Her works are an investigation of her inner landscape and ADHD mind. Vinny Jones is a teacher at Fine Art where she is member of the professorship Performative Creative Processes. For this exhibition, she has created an immersive lighting artwork.

The exhibition can be visited from 6 October 2023 to 7 January 2024, from Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00.
