Google’s services have proven themselves to be extremely useful and available everywhere. The Big Tech giants, including Google, have by now also mastered the art of gaining our trust for their services. This leads to a fascinating question: can you actually imagine a modern-day life without the ever-present Big Tech cloud services? To get the most out of this meeting, you are advised to bring an Android smartphone or tablet that you can de-Google. When your device is not listed here, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s impossible to 'de-Google' it, but we will have to dig a bit further during the meeting. Don’t hesitate to simply bring your device and see.
For Apple fans, it is unfortunately impossible to live without Big Tech. But we can still discover together how close we can get to a life without Google services on your Apple devices.
Important info:
- When we de-Google your smartphone, all files on your device will be lost. Be sure that you have no important data on it. You can start by giving your device a factory rest. In very exceptional circumstances, this can cause your device to become inoperable (a brick).
- Apple devices are impossible to be completely freed of Big Tech. We can however explore how we can reduce the Google services on Apple devices to the barest minimum.
