Walk in with your own (AI) project for support during the After School club this Thursday 30 may 2024. From 18:30 till 21:30 in 0.50 (AI LAB) the complete Telemagic (arts-meet-tech) collective is available for help: Roos Groothuizen, Ymer Marinus and Cyanne van den Houten.

We are currently working ourselves on running opensource AI models locally, chaining them together to generate unexpected artworks and questioning queer and inclusive AI. We are happy to share our process and think along with your projects - ask us anything!

About Telemagic:
Art-meets-tech collective Telemagic are bound by a drive to use contemporary technology for a deeper, richer human experience. Telemagic opposes the idea that the invisibility of technology is something to be feared; instead embracing, cherishing and moulding it into something tangible.
They do this by creating manifestations, art interventions and tools that focus on a closer human connection towards tech developments. Making sense of technological mysteries revolving around the digital extensions and intentions of mankind, often in collaboration with other artists and makers. Telemagic consists of: Roos Groothuizen, Ymer Marinus and Cyanne van den Houten.

Roos Groothuizen (she/her) is an artist and designer who is passionate about digital rights. You may know her from her work “I Want to Delete It All, But Not Now” – an unsolvable escape room that challenges our personal motives for escaping the data industry. Or from her other work “The Black Box Bellagio,” an unusual casino that doesn’t take your money but is after your freedom, integrity, and private data instead. Roos's unique ability to fuse critical media theory with playful, gamified elements into interactive performative artworks sets her apart. Everything is a game to her!

Ymer Marinus (they/he) is a techno-wizard and soud sculptor extraordinair with The Living Void and the GLO sounds. Driven by the electric combustion engine of DIY tool creation and algorithmic oracles, you instantly feel at ease in the generative works and soundscapes of Ymer. Always busy stitching and chaining generative codes based on movement of natural phenomena. Ymer is always very talented at building technical frameworks for artists to go crazy with. Ymer is always collaborating your LLM support (now also installed on the computers in AI LAB 0.50)

Cyanne van den Houten (they/she) is currently artist in residence at the Tech Playground AI lab at the HKU. As a media-artist and spiritual surfer they are always smashing graphics and generating cyber sculptures.
